WHAT IS IRSA?
The Interventional Radiology Society of Australasia (IRSA) is the peak membership association for Australian and New Zealand healthcare professionals working in the field of Interventional Radiology.
IRSA works closely with its members to provide education, and research opportunities to ensure the highest standards are set when it comes to patient care.
As the primary advocacy group for interventional radiology, IRSA works with the Federal and State Departments of Health, New Zealand Medical Council and other policy-setting organisations to promote the highest standards in patient care and clinical practice for interventional radiology.

Affiliate SIR Membership
IRSA members will be entitled to the following benefits:
Individuals
- Monthly subscription to SIR Scan and IR Access newsletters, both featuring highlights and offerings from SIR publications and education
- Discounted pricing on all products in the IR Store, including all online education products
- Member pricing for individual access to “Residency Essentials”: SIR’s online didactic curriculum developed for senior IR residents, that includes over 50 educational modules
- Discounted registration fees for all SIR meetings, including the Annual Scientific Meeting, featuring programming for international attendees
- Ribbons for affiliates in attendance at SIR Annual Meeting
- 20% discount off SIR Associate-International membership dues on their first year of SIR membership, if they choose to join SIR as a member ($93 USD savings)

APSCVIR Membership

Who Are IRSA
Members
Our members are made up of those engaged in the medical subspecialty, Interventional Radiology. They are either actively practising, in training, or a member by association i.e. nurse or radiographer.
The IRSA Gold Medal is the highest accolade to be awarded by the Interventional Radiology Society of Australasia. The Executive at their discretion, may award the Gold Medal to any person who has rendered outstanding service or benefactions to the development, teaching, or practice of interventional radiology in Australasia and/or New Zealand. The award shall be made on in accordance with guidelines determined by the IRSA Executive.
