IRSA Annual Scientific Meeting 2025

A huge thank you to everyone who attended this year’s Interventional Oncology (IO) Symposium and IRSA Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) in Melbourne, held from 29 July to 1 August 2025.

This year marked IRSA’s largest ASM to date, and we were thrilled to welcome a diverse mix of attendees — including Nurses, Radiographers, Medical Students, Junior Doctors, and a strong cohort of IR Fellows and RANZCR Trainees, who participated in our inaugural Fellows Day program, aligning with our 2025 theme: “Together.”

We were also pleased to bring back the IO Symposium, attended by over 100 interventional radiologists, showcasing a multidisciplinary, education-rich approach to all things IO.

Another exciting first was our dedicated Medical Student and Junior Doctor program, which was highly attended and plays a vital role in promoting IR to the next generation of doctors.

Congratulations to our Convenors

A heartfelt thank you to Dr Phil Chan and Dr Goran Mitreski for their exceptional leadership and dedication in delivering a program full of cutting-edge developments, global and local expert talks, research insights, hands-on workshops, and flow model simulation sessions.
