Thank you to New Zealand Doctor Rata Aotearoa for your support in raising awareness of the need for greater adoption of interventional radiology in Australasia.
At our Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM), we were privileged to hear from international speakers, Hyo Cheol Kim, Professor of Radiology at Seoul National University Hospital, Republic of Korea, as well as Jafar Golzarian, Professor of Radiology at the University of Minnesota and Founder and CEO of NorthStar Vascular and Interventional, who highlighted the critical advancements in embolisation and IRSA’s role in the field.
“Embolisation can be used for conditions affecting nearly every area of a human body. Global advancements in embolisation are accelerating; however, not all geographies are adopting it at the same pace,” said Prof Golzarian.
“Strong knowledge of the various approaches of embolisation is a major success factor for safe practice. Learning opportunities created by the IRSA ASM are helping to ensure this knowledge is shared across borders.”
