Pursuing a career in interventional radiology (IR) could place you at the forefront of medical innovation.

By integrating cutting-edge imaging technology with innovative minimally invasive procedures, IR allows healthcare professionals to provide holistic care and improved patient outcomes for a range of conditions.

To continue driving this medical revolution in Australasia, IRSA recently hosted its annual Registrars Conference at the University of Adelaide.

The Registrar’s Conference was an exciting opportunity to unite leaders in IR with future professionals to understand what a day in the life of an interventional radiologists looks like, and to learn about the exciting procedures that being an IR entails.

The two-day event featured:
💡didactic sessions on a range of IR procedures,
💡hands-on workshops,
💡networking sessions to connect with IR’s and industry partners.

Thank you to our 2024 convenor, Dr Oliver Ayres, and our dedicated team of 19 IRs who made up the teaching faculty.
