If you’re planning to sit for the EBIR exam, now is the ideal time to register! Starting January 1, 2025, the application fee will rise to €900. Register before December 31, 2024, to lock in the current rate of €700. Early registration also secures your place in upcoming exam sessions.

Why Has the Application Fee Increased?

This is the first application fee increase in 10 years, reflecting EBIR’s commitment to quality and accessibility improvements:

• Remote Exam Access: Candidates can now take the exam remotely, eliminating travel requirements and allowing greater flexibility.
• Expanded Language Options: The exam is now available in German, Spanish, and Italian, broadening accessibility worldwide.
• Updated Curriculum: The European Curriculum and Syllabus for Interventional Radiology, published in 2023, provides the foundation for the exam and includes the latest techniques and technologies.
• Expert Review: All exam materials are rigorously reviewed by IR experts.
• Enhanced Quality Assurance: Each exam and question undergoes in-depth analysis by a psychometrician, ensuring high standards and exam quality.

These enhancements reinforce the EBIR exam’s value, making it even more relevant for integration into national IR training pathways.
