Congratulations to Dr Jane Song – Winner of the Best Abstract Registrar/IR Fellow Oral Presentation

The Interventional Radiology Society of Australasia (IRSA) is delighted to congratulate Dr Jane Song from the Austin Hospital, Melbourne, on receiving the Best Abstract Registrar/IR Fellow Oral Presentation award at the IRSA ASM 2026.

Dr Song’s outstanding presentation, titled “First In-vivo Proof of Concept of Controlled Photo-activation of a Novel Liquid Embolic Agent,” was selected by the judging panel as the best oral presentation in the Registrar/IR Fellow category, recognising the innovation, scientific quality, and potential clinical impact of her research.

As the award recipient, Dr Song has been awarded a fully supported trip to the CIRSE Congress 2026 in Copenhagen, jointly sponsored by the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE) and the Interventional Radiology Society of Australasia (IRSA).

This award reflects the commitment of IRSA to fostering excellence in research, supporting emerging interventional radiologists, and encouraging the translation of innovative ideas into future clinical practice.
