Introducing the New Interventional Radiology Stream at this year’s ASM

For the first time, this year’s RANZCR ASM program will have a dedicated stream for Interventional Radiology (IR) with both IR and Interventional Neuroradiology (INR) content running the length of the scientific program. This is a fantastic development that reflects the College’s commitment to advancing IR and INR practice in Australia and New Zealand and supports the growing recognition of these specialties.

The IR stream features a range of inspiring and exciting sessions discussing:

  • The evolution of IR and INR as clinical specialties in Australia and New Zealand
  • The critical role that imaging-guided specialties will play in the future of radiology
  • Cutting-edge clinical and technical practices in IR and INR
  • The inaugural IR and INR Careers Forum.

The College has planned a great line-up of local and international expert speakers and sessions, that will provide something for everyone.

A key highlight of the program is the inaugural IR and INR Careers Forum Breakfast on Saturday, 21 October. The breakfast program is targeted towards IR and INR Fellows, radiology registrars, junior doctors, and medical students.
