Today we celebrate Global Interventional Radiology Day (#WorldIRDay), a global moment to raise awareness of what IR can offer patients, recognise the clinicians and clinical teams delivering it, and strengthen collaboration across healthcare.
For IRSA, that purpose is carried forward every day by the people who make IR possible. To all IRs, trainees, nurses, admin staff, allied health professionals, and industry partners: thank you for what you do for patients and for the profession. Your skill, dedication and teamwork are what keeps IR moving forward.
In 2026, IRSA remains committed to advancing Interventional Radiology across Australasia, increasing awareness among patients, and referring clinicians, and promoting equitable access to minimally invasive care — helping patients return to their daily lives sooner and more safely.
