IRSA has provided a submission, as part of the consultation phase, heavily rejecting the intention to remove drug eluting beads and closure devices.

IRSA has strongly supported the shift to inclusion of non-implanted medical devices for rebate which will remove market distortions in Australia favouring implanted devices, bring us in line with other countries and support utilisation of devices which “leave nothing behind” but achieve equivalent health outcomes for patients.
