COVID-19 Update

The IRSA Executive have been carefully monitoring advice provided by both Australian and New Zealand Government officials regarding public gatherings in light of the COVID-19 virus.

With the introduction of strict regulations around travel and public gatherings in general, it is with the best interest of public health in mind that we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 IRSA ASM and the Australian and New Zealand sitting of the EBIR, scheduled to take place in Queenstown in August this year.

EBIR Australia and New Zealand 2020 – COVID-19 (coronavirus) update

Update regarding EBIR exam on August 10, 2020 in Queenstown

After careful consideration of the conditions surrounding the continuing spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and the uncertainty regarding the severity and duration of restrictions on travel and gatherings globally, the difficult decision has been made to cancel the EBIR Queenstown examination which was scheduled to take place on August 10, 2020.

Candidates who are registered for the August 10 examination have been contacted by CIRSE accordingly. If you are registered and have not received any correspondence, please contact

The EBIR examination on September 11, 2020 in Munich is scheduled to take place as planned.

Registrar Conference 2020 – POSTPONED until further notice

Update: In the best interest of public health, due to the COVID-19 virus, the 2020 IRSA Registrar Conference that was planned for 13-14 June on the Sunshine Coast is postponed until further notice.
